The O-Shot® is a non-surgical way to increase sexual arousal, sexual desire and rejuvenate the vagina. In fact, O-Shot® is short for Orgasm Shot.
The O-Shot® is a simple injection that increases a woman’s sexual desire, arousal, dysfunction and ability to orgasm. The procedure entails extracting growth factors from a patient’s blood and re-injecting it with a special miniature needle into their clitoris.
The O-Shot® stimulates tissue around the clitoris to help rejuvenate cells that are vital for sexual pleasure, providing you lubrication and stronger, more frequent orgasms.
Charles Runels, M.D., an internist, medical researcher, and former chemist from Alabama, begun researching this area in 2011. One day he and his girlfriend were discussing whether or not the same procedure he'd done to tighten and rejuvenate the skin on her face (the Vampire Facelift) might help her “down there” too. That discussion, and the frequent conversations with female patients that were frustrated with their sub-par sex life, led to his creation of the O-Shot® procedure.
“Women really need more scientific solutions,” says Dr. Runels. “The time of counselling, KY Jelly, and a vibrator is over. Those things may still help...but we had that decades ago and unfortunately that’s all most women are still being offered.”
What can the Oshot help with?
The O-Shot® treatment uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP), which is a concentration of a patient's platelets. The activated platelets are placed into the vaginal and clitoral area to stimulate new cell growth.
The O-Shot® is performed by Carla Coelho RN, who has undergone specialist training by Dr. Runels to be certified as an Oshot practitioner.
The benefits of having this treatment include increased sexual climax, greater arousal from clitoral stimulation, and a number of changes in orgasm including stronger, more frequent orgasms, and an increased ability to have orgasms.
Some women are also getting the shot to help with other health concerns, such as painful intercourse and bladder leakage.
